How to edit a PDF
- 1
Open your PDF
Drop it here or choose it from your device, or start a new blank document. If it has a password, the editor asks for it.
- 2
Edit it
Change text and images, add comments and shapes, fill in and build forms, sign, redact, and add, move or delete pages.
- 3
Save
Save the PDF to your device. A protected PDF keeps its passwords and permissions.
Questions
Can I edit the text that is already in a PDF?
Yes. Click into a paragraph and type: the editor matches the PDF’s own font where it can, and finds a close one (or uses one you choose) where it cannot.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The editor runs in your browser with our own PDF engine. Your PDF never leaves your device.
What else can I do besides edit text?
Add and move images and drawings, highlight, comment and draw, add stamps and signatures, fill in and create forms, redact, measure, and add, move, rotate or delete pages and bookmarks.
Can I edit a password-protected PDF?
Yes. Enter its password when asked. If its author does not allow changes, the editor asks for its permissions (owner) password too. The saved file keeps its passwords and permissions.
Can I open several PDFs at once?
Yes. Open more from the editor’s menu: each gets a tab, and you can move pages between them.
